How do you charge?

I work in weeks rather than hours: a rate per week, with a fixed number of them agreed before we start. You get the number on the first call, before you tell me your budget.

When could you start?

Usually four to six weeks out, because I only run one project at a time. If your date is real, say so — I do occasionally reshuffle for work I badly want to make.

Can you work inside my team?

Happily, and it tends to go better. I spent five years as the only designer in a room full of engineers, so I am comfortable being outnumbered and useful.

What are you not good at?

Brand from scratch, illustration, and anything that needs six people by Friday. I will tell you who is good at those, and I do not take a referral fee for it.
